The city of Dietikon in Zürich organises every year different seasonal and intercultural events where people can come and celebrate together. For example ; summer festival (Sommerfest) is always around the first weekend of June every year.  At this event have got an opportunity to share my Tanzanian culture  through Swahili food. 

Kalimati

Makande is Tanzanian loved meal which is a mixture of maize, beans, coconut and some vegetables for taste. Learn how to make this dish with following recipe. 

All of the woven bowls are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design. The tea color is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan-grown tea leaves.

 vitumbua (singular: kitumbua). A sweet donut or pancake with a slight exterior crust and a fluffy, melt in your mouth interior. vitumbua are East African breakfasts (most favourate)  they are happily eaten and shared in the Swahili countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Rwanda and Burundi, Somalia. 

There is a campaign which is titled as"Ndoa ni upendo na sio vita", which means marriage is"love and not awar".  I 100% support  the idea of having such campaign.Some people says:  "everything thing matterswhen it comes to you" . Other women or men may not understand what does the campaign have to do with our standards of living, but for those wentthrough tuff marriages or relationships  have a clear understanding.
